The Entrance

10 April, 2005 - 23 May, 2005 - The Entrance

We spent about 6 weeks in The Entrance from the 11 April, 2005.  We returned from travelling to attend the wedding of Karl's sister in the Hunter Valley.  The Entrance is about 100 km north of Sydney and Hilldale is about 200 km north of Sydney in the Hunter Valley (west of Newcastle).  We also stayed longer at home with my (Karl's) mother while she recovered from being in hospital.  We started travelling again on the 24 May, 2005 after my mother was back on her feet again.  We travelled up the east coast to north Queensland and then across the top of Australia.

We also spent Christmas and New Year at the Entrance after out Tasmania trip.  We prepared the Troopy for some of the longer outback trips that we planned to do.

These are 2 areal views of the The Entrance. There are 3 lakes along the coast, open to the ocean by a channel at The Entrance, and lots of great beaches around. This is the area where Karl grew up. We will spend some weeks here at the family house, over the Christmas and New Year break.
